Cash Voucher and Food Voucher

HIWA has distributed cash and food to women household beneficiaries during the droughts in August and September 2011, and implemented Hiran, Banadir and Middle Shabelle region and the project beneficiaries were 920 riverside and main IDP camps of the above mentioned cities. These programs was funded by AAD and Muslim-AID UK. The intervention relief program has served 60% of the drought affected population in the target districts. The distribution has been successfully implemented in respect with the criteria set for the vulnerable recipients. All activities have been implemented without any insecurity incidents whatsoever.
