Water is life.

Providing clean and safe water to those in need is a fundamental humanitarian intervention for the communities affected by the recent El Nino floods that adversely affected and destroyed the water sources. Beledweyne and it’s villages are among the districts affected by the floods sparing no water sources especially the shallow wells.

Successive assessments depicted the need for shallow wells rehabilitation and construction of new and permanent sources of water in Beledweyne and its villages. HIWA, one among the active and present humanitarian organizations in the area, rehabilitated 10 shallow wells, and constructed and equipped 2 elevated water tanks in some Beledweyne villages.
